Objective

Enhance buy- and sell-side engagement through a unique and immersive Site Tour experience that enables the company to connect in-person with their current and prospective investors. The primary objective was to provide Wall Street with a comprehensive understanding of Aspen Aerogels’ high-quality products, operational strategy, value proposition, and longer-term growth opportunities.

strategic approach

Provide investors and sell-side analysts with a thorough overview of current operations, commercial traction, and research & development efforts through a planned Site Tour accompanied by senior management.

  • Visitors toured Aspen Aerogels’ Plant 1 (material production facility), Research & Development facility, and its Advanced Thermal Barrier Center (customer-facing facility) as well as attended a dedicated Q&A session with C-Suite executives.
  • The tour featured an up-close look at the Company’s production lines and materials while highlighting Aspen Aerogels’ rigorous testing procedures, including blowtorch demonstrations for extreme temperatures and compression testing. This opportunity allowed attendees to better understand the scope and quality of the product.
outcome
  • 20+ prospective and current institutional investors attended Aspen’s facilities.
  • Enabled investors to engage directly with management team to witness company operations firsthand and enhance their respective due diligence process.
  • Led follow up investor conversations with management team.
  • Developed blueprint for future potential Investor/Analyst Day Events.
  • Positive feedback from Wall Street on the event:
  • “Not to be outdone, Aspen hosted us for a terrific tour of its facilities in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. We left impressed with the proprietary nature of Aspen’s manufacturing and technology and confident that their lead is sustainable for some time. After our day, we also have increased conviction that — with time — additional EV OEMs are likely to adopt thermal barriers as their battery platforms become more mature and sophisticated. While blowtorch demonstrations were certainly fun, we see material optionality in Aspen’s battery materials segment as the company enters the silicon anode race.”
