Matt has responsibilities for managing the firm’s technology and financial services verticals. Some of his clients include Digimarc, I.D. Systems, Planar Systems and B. Riley Financial.
Since joining Liolios in 2007, he has successfully managed more than 40 client campaigns and scheduled 200 investor marketing events. Matt has provided strategic communications counsel to clients on more than 30 M&A transactions and $500 million in equity capital raises.
Matt’s deep understanding of finance comes from his background in formulating business plans and capital formation strategies for private and public companies, as well as providing financial analysis for hedge funds, including Newport Micro. Matt was also the co-founder and CEO of Purely Inc., an Internet classified ads company. Earlier in his career, he led the acquisition and project management efforts for a Southern-California-based residential real estate development company.
Matt is passionate about investing, emerging technologies, sports and family. If you can’t find him at Liolios, there is a good chance he is either playing with his daughters or at the gym. In Matt’s spare time, he enjoys reading business books, watching movies and spending time with family.
